With more fast food chains being introduced into Sydney, especially into the busy parts Australians are making the ‘once-in-a-while-treat’ into an everyday option for fast and fatty food, especially for people with busy lifestyles.
Because of this, Australia has moved to 11th position in the world for spending money on takeaway in 2011, and in effect Australia zoomed from 21st position of being called the fattest country in the world in 2007, to the 5th fattest country in 2012. More than 60 per cent of Australian adults and just under a quarter of Australia’s kids are obese over weight today.
